Privacy policy

UTSURUMADE (“the app”) has no server of its own. Neither your photographs nor the developed versions ever leave this device. The only thing that goes out is what Google receives, on the edition that carries ads, in order to serve advertising.

This policy covers both editions: UTSURUMADE, which is free and carries advertising, and UTSURUMADE Plus, which does not. Wherever the two differ, it is said so.

What is not collected

The app itself collects no personal information: no name, email address, telephone number, or contacts. Neither your photographs nor the developed versions reach the developer.

The developer collects no usage analytics and no crash reports either. On the edition that carries ads (the free UTSURUMADE), Google receives your advertising identifier, the approximate region derived from your IP address, and records of your device and of the ads shown, in order to serve advertising. See “Sharing with third parties” below.

The edition without ads (UTSURUMADE Plus) does not build in the advertising SDK at all, so nothing is sent to Google.

Neither edition uses your device location, and neither asks permission for it. On the ad-supported edition, what Google receives goes no further than the approximate region derived from your IP address, as above.

What is stored on your device

Your photographs before and after developing, roll names and frame counts, and the app’s settings. All of it is stored only in the app’s own area on your device.

If you have iCloud or Google backup enabled, the OS may include this data in your backup. That is between your device and your account; the developer cannot access it.

Deleting the app deletes this data with it. You can also delete all of it yourself, at any time, from the app’s settings screen.

Why device features are used

Camera — used only to take photographs. Nothing captured is transmitted.

Photos (camera roll) — used only to add developed photographs you chose to save. The contents of your camera roll are never read.

Notifications — used only to tell you a roll is ready. They are scheduled on your device and go through no external push server.

Sharing with third parties

The developer collects nothing, and so shares nothing.

The free edition (UTSURUMADE) serves video advertising through Google AdMob. To deliver ads and prevent fraud, your advertising identifier (IDFA), IP address, device information and records of ads shown and tapped are sent to Google. Google handles this data under its own policies.

Whether ads are tailored to you is your choice, made through the iOS tracking prompt. Ads still appear if you decline; they simply are not tailored. You can change it at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

The edition without ads (UTSURUMADE Plus) serves no advertising. The advertising SDK is not built into it at all, so nothing is sent to Google.

Use by children

This app is not directed at children under 13. Ad content is restricted to an age-appropriate rating, but if a child uses the app, please do so under adult supervision.

The edition without ads (UTSURUMADE Plus) serves no advertising, and shooting and storage stay on the device.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be changed as needed. When it is, the text in the app and the date on this page are updated.
